The database might be lacking in details, but Ryokan Izuna made up for it with their exceptional service and authentic Japanese experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, and the provided database was helpful with basic information. The room was spacious and offered a small balcony with a stunning view of the ocean. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of tea while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The only downside I encountered during my stay was the inconvenience of the stairs leading up to the Ryokan. As mentioned in the database, there are many stairs to climb, and it can be challenging if you have heavy luggage.

What's more, it was really close to the Mountain as well as the tranquil Japanese hillside, a short trek from Izusan Shrine and picturesque hiking trails. Everything was simply perfect.

We had the most wonderful stay at a charming ryokan in a beautiful location. The view from our room was breathtaking, overlooking the ocean. The traditional Japanese bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The highlight was the delicious Japanese breakfast served every morning. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even drove us to the train station and helped with our trip planning. We can't wait to return next year with our family to explore more of the stunning Shizuoka prefecture and the Izu peninsula.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious local delicacies. The location was great, with beautiful surroundings and picturesque hiking trails nearby. I especially enjoyed the serene atmosphere of the place, perfect for a peaceful Christmas getaway.
Finding the place was a bit tricky, as Google Maps was not reliable. It's best to ask the owners for help with navigation.

We had the most magical experience at a traditional guesthouse in Atami. The beautiful place, run by a fantastic couple, made us feel incredibly comfortable and happy. The sea view and romantic setting near the Izuna shrine added to the charm of the place. The personal touch and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay. The breakfast, cooked by the owners, was absolutely delicious. On top of everything, the super friendly owner even drove us back to the station after we checked out. We are already planning our return and cannot wait to spend more time in this enchanting guesthouse.
